Fun in the Sun and Gotcha Day

The 4Th of July

Luckily, Lance actually got Friday the 3rd off work. We decided since we are not brave enough to really camp with a new baby, that we would camp at my parents' house. Another family from church joined us for our camp out.

Kami hanging out in her stroller while we cleaned our backyard before heading up the hill for our camp out.

I was so impressed by Lance. The Dad from the other family got sick and did not spend the night. Lance watched the kids in the hot tub so we girls could chat. He made a great smores fire with a single match, and slept in the tent with Zac, Brycen, and our nephew Jonas, and niece Hannah. I slept inside with Kami and Scott. Man, did I marry well!

The Hot tub was actually a cool tub at about 87 degrees.

Our campfire

Hannah is so happy to have another girl in the family. She was in
Germany when we first came home so this was the first time she
saw Kami.

A perk of camping at Nana's--a comfy couch.

We left Nana's after breakfast and headed home for our BBQ, swim party, and firework show. We were joined by the Barkers (the same family that camped with us) and our friends the Picker family.

As always, Zac said he didn't want to do fireworks and then
had the best time of everyone!

Scott loves to watch the fireworks, but he doesn't like the noise as you can see.

Our little friend Lucas used his sparklers to put on light shows

just for Scott.

Brycen and his ice water

Kami actually had two 4th of July outfits. This was her evening outfit, a hand-me-down from Scott. I guess we didn't get a picture in her little red starred sun outfit.

Kami likes to sleep with her arms above her.

The Lake

We spent Friday afternoon with lots of friends at Folsom Lake. Brycen loved jet skiing and tubing. I was amazed at how well he hung on on the tube. I almost flew off a few times, but Brycen held tight. Zac just wanted to be on the shore eating chips, playing in the water, and chillin' on the boat. No jet skiing our tubing for him.

Brycen in the lake.

Chill Laxin' Zac

What Kami pretended she did at the lake.

What Kami really did; slept in the shade of the tent in
her cute little swimsuit.

Gotcha Day

Kambridge's adoption was finalized on July6th. No more worries! We are having her sealed to us in the temple on August first. For her Gotcha day party my parents, Ali and Kenny, and our friends the Smith's came over for dinner.

We may never get a decent family picture!

Prayers Needed

For those of you who know my dear friend Catherine Cutler, she could really use our prayers right now. She is 26 weeks pregnant with a very high risk twins pregnancy. She has been in the hospital in Provo for almost a week now. She will remain there until her baby girls are born. I'm sure she would love to have visitors if you are in the area. She has started her own blog cutlersblog.blogspot.com

As Lindsay said, "you really know how to celebrate." Kami is a good reason to have a great party. She had really grown a lot. Can't wait to see her and the boys.
